Amber raises $45m to accelerate global expansion

Kain Lawyers is proud to have advised Amber Electric on their $45 million funding round led by ETF Partners, with participation from Square Peg, Gentrack, Rubio Impact Ventures, and Breakthrough Victoria.

Amber Electric is helping accelerate Australia’s shift to 100% renewables, giving customers access to real-time wholesale electricity prices and the ability to shift usage to when power is cheaper and greener. The firm is also developing vehicle-to-grid capability that will enable customers to sell energy from their EVs back to the grid.  The capital raise will accelerate the firm’s global expansion, building on partnerships with major UK utilities E.ON and Ecotricity.

Founded in 2020, MyVenue powers billions of dollars in credit card transactions annually at 190+ of the world’s most iconic sports and entertainment venues, including Dodger Stadium, Little Caesars Arena, Hard Rock Stadium, and the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, host venue of the 2028 Olympics.

Two significant transactions for the Ahrens Group reflect their expansion across Australia

Kain Lawyers is proud to have advised the Ahrens Group on two significant transactions that reflect their expansion across Australia in the steel and construction services industries.

Ahrens has strengthened its national mining and industrial service offering with the acquisition of Farrelly Construction Services, complementing its existing operations in SA, WA and QLD.

The acquisition of Brisbane-based ABFI Steel Group will see Ahrens’ steel manufacturing and fabrication capabilities also expand nationwide. ABFI is a leader in steel pile casings and structural steel pipe, bolstering Ahrens position in the road, rail, and ports infrastructure sectors.

The acquisitions highlight the company’s commitment to quality and innovation, and its ability to deliver even greater solutions to clients nationally.
